Is it possible to upgrade my room?

Yes, it is possible to upgrade to a different room type either prior to your stay, upon arrival or during your stay. All subject to availability. Contact us to know what the charges are and please note that upgrading prior to arrival is possible at a lower rate then once you are in Gambia. 

 

 

Is it possible to reserve rooms next or close to each other?

Yes it is possible, but please remember that it is a request and not a guarantee. The Front Office team will do our utmost to allocate you the rooms as requested but this is subject to availability on your arrival day. We advise you to submit your request at the time of your booking, just ask your Travel Agent to add this onto the reservation. Alternatively you could email us your request at least 4 weeks before arrival. 

Is it possible to request rooms with a sea view?

Yes this is possible but it depends on the room type you chose as for instance premium and studio rooms are located on the ground floor. The Front Office team will do our utmost to allocate you the rooms as requested but this is subject to availability on your arrival day.

Do you have twin bedded rooms?

The majority of our rooms is twin bedded based on a double bed and a sofa bed, there is a limited number of rooms that have two single beds. Our Suites are all double bedded.

Is there internet/wife in the rooms?

It is possible to have internet in your room via our WiFi network at a charge of approximately 8 GBP/10 Euro a week for 2 devices.  There are Free WiFi zones in the lobby, Kingfisher Bar, the Kudula restaurant and around the pool. 

Do you have connecting rooms?

There is a limited number of connecting rooms for the room types Standard and Superior. There is only 1 connecting Premium room. Suites are only interconnecting to a Standard room and there are no connecting Studio rooms.

Do the beds have mosquito nets?

There is no mosquito net above the bed. The door/window to the balcony/patio has a netted ventilation part.  Should you want to bring your own net, our team will assist you fixing it to the ceiling. 

Is there a safe in the room?

Each room has a safe that will fit a normal size laptop, and except for the standard rooms the use of the safe is free of charge. The safes are operated by El Safe a renowned company active in many countries. 

Is the use of air conditioning and/or mini fridge included in the standard room?

Although they are normally included in the room charge, certain of our partner tour operators offer the standard rooms at a discounted rate which will exclude the use of the air conditioner and/or mini fridge. Please contact your Travel Agent or tour operator. 

Is there a kettle in the room?

In all our rooms except the standard rooms you will find a kettle including cups and saucers and a supply of tea and coffee that is daily replenished.

How often are the towels and bed linen changed in the rooms?

We change the bed linen 3 times a week; the towels are changed daily but upon request. We encourage our guest to participate in our sustainability efforts, this means among others that we only change the bathroom towels that we find on the floor, those hanging on the hooks/rack are not changed.  

Can I exchange cash or traveler cheques in the hotel?

This is possible at our Front Office for the most current foreign currencies, for exchanging traveler cheques you will need to bring your passport along and there is a surcharge for exchanging traveler cheques. 

Can I pay or withdraw money with my debit card (pin pas) in Gambia?

With certain debit cards you can pay at the hotel in addition to paying with your credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard). In a very limited number of restaurants and shops it is possible to pay by credit card. It is only possible to withdraw money from a cash point using a Visa credit card. 

Can I use my iPad, iPhone, Android phone, tablet etc in the hotel?

Yes this is possible as there are Free WiFi zones in the hotel lobby, the Kingfisher bar, the Kudula restaurant and around the pool, however remember that the internet speed is not up to the Western standards and is sometimes interrupted. In the rooms we offer a WiFi service for approximately 8GBP/10Euro per week for 2 devices. 

I would like to invite a friend to the hotel. Is that possible?

We require all visitors to report to the Front Office where they will be registered; once this is done they can join you in the public areas of the hotel.

Do you provide free pool/beach towels, sun loungers and mattresses?

Yes we provide free sun loungers and mattresses for all our hotel guests; on the beach and around the pool the use of the umbrellas is also free of charge. You will receive a free pool/beach towel from our entertainment office, as part of our sustainability efforts we will ask a small surcharge should you desire to change this free pool/beach towel. At the end of your stay we kindly ask you to return the free pool/beach towel. 

Does the hotel provide airport transfers?
  1. Our reservations department can assist you by arranging a private and air conditioned airport transfer for you; charges apply which depend on the number of people in your party. 
I want to organize a conference or a work shop. Do you have a room for this?

Yes we have a conference room for up to 60 people which can be used for a conference, work shop, presentation, meeting etc.  Just email us for more information.

I want to get married in Gambia, can I have a wedding ceremony in Kombo Beach?

This is possible as Kombo Beach Hotel has excellent contacts with the relevant authorities, so you can get married on our beach, in our garden or by the pool. Just email us for more information. 

I did not book a stay on Half Board, can I eat in the Kudula restaurant?

The buffets in Kudula are open to all our hotel guests and also to outside guests.

I have special dietary needs, can this be accommodated?

Upon arrival please contact our F & B Manager or his assistant who will be happy to accommodate your requests. Please note that certain supplies (like gluten free or lactose free products) are not readily available in The Gambia. 

Is your food halal?

The majority of Gambians are Muslim, as such much of our supplies are Halal. We however also serve food and drinks that are not Halal but our kitchen team will ensure these foods are not mixed. 

I am staying on Half Board or Full Board, in which hotel restaurants can I eat?

Every evening there is a different themed full buffet dinner in our Kudula restaurant which is not only for our Half Board guest but also for all other guests. Alternatively it is possible to dine in Brasserie where you will have an allowance towards your a la carte choice. We request you to book your table 24 hours in advance. Our guest on Full Board can lunch in the Barracuda. 

What time is breakfast?

Breakfast is served daily from 6.30 to 10.00am

Do you provide waiter service by the pool and on the beach?

Yes we do, from our Brasserie, Barracuda and Kingfisher restaurants and bars

Is it possible to change my Bed & Breakfast stay to stay on Half Board or Full Board after I arrived in the hotel?

Yes this is possible; you can do so by either contacting your tour operator representative or our Front Office
